Pendulum @ Download Festival 2009

The highlight of Saturday for me has to be watching Pendulum’s epic set on the main stage - those boys from Oz really knew how to get the party started.

It was slightly confusing as to why they were on before Marilyn Manson, who is at the completely opposite end of the musical spectrum to them, but as the black leather disappeared, the bleached blonde girls and adidas bottomed blokes strutted up to the stage to watch the masters of dance at work.

Playing tracks such as Tarantula, Slam, Propane Nightmares and Showdown, the crowd went absolutely crazy as their dirty disco beats washed over the crowd, who were far too busy pulling some ‘sick’ shapes than to give a toss about what was happening up there on stage.

Plus,. How can you concentrate when some foxy man is giving you a drink with leaves in?
