Korn are a band I’ve wanted to see for a while, but whose music I’ve never actually bought. I’ve constantly heard them on the music tv and on a night out, but buying an album has never really crossed my mind. Until now.
I’d stuck around to check them out before Faith No More on Friday, and I’ve got to admit, they did put on a pretty good show from where I was standing, but the general consensus afterwards was that Jonathan Davis didn’t interact with the crowd enough, which I have to disagree with.
Barrelling their way through song after song, they dominated the stage for a hour and quarter as the field slowly filled up with more and more fans, who were probably more intrigued by the mic stand than the actual band itself.
Korn managed to bring the tempo to fever pitch as openers for Faith No More who chilled everyone out as the first night’s proceedings drew to a close.
