Billy Talent’s set was one of the few I actually managed to watch from beginning to end over the course of the weekend, and I was completely astounded at how Benjamin Kowalewicz’s vocals sounded just as good live as on their record.
There’s no denying that he has one of those ‘unique’ voices, but I never imagined it to sound so incredible when blasting out over thousands of fans all roasting in the boiling hot afternoon sun.
Playing hits from their back catalogue as well as a couple from their new record, Billy Talent III including their latest single, Rusted From The Rain and crowd favourites, Red Flag, Try Honesty, Devil In A Midnight Mass and Fallen Leaves.
I’ve got to admit that I would definitely head out to see these guys again after the weekend, and I think I’m not the only one who has been converted to a fully fledged Billy Talent fan.
