Hardcore Superstar

Hardcore Superstar

I checked out Hardcore superstar by default when I was supposed to be watching Dear Superstar… you can see how easily I got mixed up… but my error seemed to turn out for the best as these guys turned out to be pretty good!

I love a bit of my glam rock, and Saturday at Download was all about honouring the more ‘heavy’ metal on the scene, and Hardcore Superstar were a great way to kick of the proceedings with their early slot on the second stage.

Despite starting at the early time of 12.40 - everyone had been partying after the Faith No More set finished last night - the Swedish foursome commanded quite a crowd as they tottered around the stage, giving their back catalogue of seven albums a run for their money.

I caught up with the band after their gig to talk about their new record and how they feel about trying to ‘break’ the UK metal scene, so keep your eyes out for my chat with the lads coming later this week!
