Ok, I’m trying my best to hate this. Traditionally my instinct is to distrust any music which comes from somebody who was on TV or in a film first, with the exception of David Hasselhoff of course, but this is actually an alright piece of pop nonsense.
My band mates have despaired in the past when I have come in to the practice room saying; “that Nelly Furtardo Maneater tune is ******** amazing!” so I guess I am a little biased towards a female pop performance (eg. Katy Perry).
This won’t win any awards (or probably any good reviews by anyone who’s opinion holds some weight) but if I was in a club at 2am completely rat arsed you could find me dancing to this…. Somebody just shouted at me that the only reason I like it is because she is hot, but I hated that Torn song back in the 90’s so I feel my opinion has some validity.
The production is great, interesting drum rhythms with top class programming and synth sounds, this will fill dance floors in Yates’s up and down the country lol. Maybe the lack of sleep and proper food has made me a little delirious but I don’t hate this, and that’s as positive as its going to get.
