French rocker Johnny Hallyday's surgeon has been attacked in Paris. He was recently accused of botching Hallyday's surgery.
Hallyday, 66, is currently in an artificial coma in a Los Angeles hospital after going under the knife for "reparative surgery" after an initial operation to fix a slipped disc in France in November caused an infection.
Dr Stephane Delajoux, who carried out the first procedure, was set upon by two assailants near his home in the French capital on Friday.
The surgeon's lawyer, Herve Temime, tells the New York Daily News, "He was mugged by two people wearing hoods, who weren't armed, and there were witnesses. I hope that the consequences of this odious act will not be too serious."
It's not yet clear if the attack was linked to the surgery he carried out on Hallyday, who has been dubbed 'The French Elvis', and allegations that he botched the November operation.
