Though I doubt the initials M.A.D refer to anything such as mothers against drunk-driving, hopefully there is more meaning behind this song than you can hear upon your first listen to Hadouken’s new single.
It seems as if this song goes right along with much of the house/techno/pseudo hip-hop music of its genre, its okay to listen to at the time, but in the end you’re not taking any real meaning or feeling away from it.
The best thing I can say for this single is that, while listening, its catchy, but otherwise, completely forgettable.
The tagline “you can bang the drum. You can bang the drum” had me almost singing along on the first go through, but not an hour after hearing it, I completely dismissed it. I don’t hear much substance.
Now don’t get me wrong, I understand not all music needs a message or point to exist. It can just be. Call it art. Call it fun. Its just not for me.
Forgettable at best.
