Netflix have today released the trailer teasing the forthcoming events in the fourth and final season of The Killing.

Picking right up where we left off, Detective Linden and Detective Holden are given a new case, where they discover a picture perfect family has been murdered in a massacre, survived only by the son who was shot in the head.

The first three seasons of The Killing are currently available to stream globally on Netflix ahead of the final season premiere on August 1.

Guest star Joan Allen comes into this season as Colonel Margaret Rayne, and appearances from Gregg Henry, Sterling Beaumon and Levi Meaden are also expected.
