FemaleFirst can today exclusively reveal four new images from the fourth and final season of The Killing, ahead of its premiere on Netflix.
Even more conflicted than we've seen him in the past, Detective Stephen Holder struggles with his personal life responsibilities whilst being assigned a new critical murder investigation alongside Sarah Linden.
Sarah's also struggling with the fallout of her and Holden's rash decision at the end of last season, and the stakes are higher than ever before.
Guest-starring this season is Joan Allen as Colonel Margaret Rayne, the head of an all-boys military academy based outside of Seattle. A woman in a man's world, she couldn't be prouder of her position, but a deeply buried maternal instinct is projected onto the troubled boys at the academy - ones she is charged with moulding into men and people she'll defend at any cost.
Netflix will have all episodes of the season available from August 1, and viewers can catch-up or re-watch the first three seasons of the show now from anywhere that's a Netflix territory.
