Key art for the fourth and final season of The Killing has been released today by Netflix, ahead of the premiere exclusively on the streaming service.

Picking up right where we left off after the season 3 finale, Detectives Linden and Holden (Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman) are struggling to manage with the fallout that's followed their rash actions.

Assigned a brand new case where a picture perfect family have been murdered, save only for the son Kyle Stansbury (Tyler Ross) who was shot in the head during the slaughter, the pair are back together again for their final showing.

Joan Allen guest stars as Colonel Margaret Rayne, and the new season also stars Sterling Beaumon, Gregg Henry and Levi Meaden.

Season four comes to Netflix exclusively on August 1. The first three seasons are available to stream globally now.
