Paul Danan has backed a fan campaign calling for his return to 'Hollyoaks'.
The former soap star - who played Sol Patrick in the Channel 4 show between 1997 and 2001 - has agreed with a fan social media account suggesting he should make a comeback next year to celebrate 25 years of the programme.
He retweeted a post from the page, which read: "Paul Danan as Sol would make a great addition... #BringBackSol (sic)"
It's not the first time Paul has supported a push to get him back on the soap.
The 40-year-old actor previously retweeted a message from the same Twitter account, entitled Official Paul Danan Fan Page.
The post read: "Thank you to everyone supporting #BringBackSol keep up the good work. He would make an amazing addition to an already great show #Hollyoaks #BringBackSol (sic)"
And in response to one fan who said they "need" him back on the soap, he replied: "Much appreciated Xxx (sic)"
The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant recently tweeted: "#BringBackSol #Hollyoaks @Channel4 Who's with me!??? Xxx (sic)"
Paul has admitted in the past he would love to reprise his role as Sol and "cause havoc" in the famous village.
Last year, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'd love to go back to 'Hollyoaks'. If I came back it'd be awesome because I'd have a bit of a tan and would cause havoc with the Osbornes again.
"I'd love to see it, I loved the character. Fingers crossed."
At the time, he had recently starred in hit play 'Worth a Flutter' - which was written by Michael Head, and featured model-turned-actress Lucy Pinder - and he was hoping 'Oaks' bosses were on a scouting mission in the audience.
He added: "I think the producers just want to see me do a bit of acting. I'm going to start to build the credits up and they'll hopefully think, 'Oh, yeah, let's get him back on.'
"I hope 'Hollyoaks' will have a spy in the audience when I'm doing 'Worth a Flutter'."
