I can imagine the Temper Trap being a lot like Jet, not because they're both Australian - well OK maybe this does have a lot to do with it - but it is mainly because even though they may release a string of relatively good songs and generally be successful, they will always be remembered for one song. And everything that will be released will always be compared to this one song.
Maybe it's just because I absolutely can not get enough of Sweet Disposition. If in a years time, they have had a serious number one stint in the charts, then I will be well an truly eating my own words, but until then, I don't think this single should have followed their top ten debut hit. A song that is so good, I googled it after Big Brother played it on their final episode EVER.
Anyway, I'm not saying bad things about the song, this song lives and breathes authentic indie. In fact, it sort of sounds as though Kelly from Stereophonics has been spending far too much time at Bono's house and they have decided to release some sort of catchy kareoki tune. And unlike Simon Cowell, I actually mean that in a good way.
What I'm saying is, the atmospheric sound combined with the pulsating ongoing rhythm of the song sounds like a cross between U2 and Stereophonics, see, a compliment to say the least.
Overall: Good single, but not as good as the first.
