Having just completed a seven week tour of America, which saw them play at SXSW and The Coachella Festival, The Temper Trap announce details of the final release from their debut album ‘Conditions’.
The single is out on June 14th via Infectious Music. Now back in the UK, the band is currently on their biggest tour to date; all 30,000 tickets sold out including an incredible three night stand at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire.
The band is also confirmed to play several major UK festivals this summer including headline slots at Somerset House and on the second stage at Wireless in July. In addition they will make appearances at other key events including Latitude, the V Festival (Channel 4 Stage) and Scotland’s T In The Park.
2009 was a phenomenal year for the band which saw their debut album ‘Conditions’ achieve silver status within weeks of its release and has gone on to sell over 170,000 copies. The single ‘Sweet Disposition’ spent a staggering 29 weeks in the chart, slowly climbing to the top ten in the old time fashion of a proper hit – selling over 250,000 copies in the process (over half a million copies worldwide).
The ‘Love Lost’ video was shot over two extremely cold days on Walthamstow Marshes by sought after director Dougal Wilson whose previous work includes videos for Bat for Lashes, LCD Soundsystem and Coldplay.
‘Love Lost’ has been remixed by legendry electronic pioneers, Rollo & Sister Bliss who instantly fell in love with lead singer Dougie Mandagi’s voice, so much so, Mandagi is a featured vocalist on their 2010 LP ‘ The Dance’ .
