After the nominees went live on the MTV website this morning, FemaleFirst couldn’t resist having a sneaky peek at what they had to say about the lucky handful, and then of course, picking our own winners… see if you agree
The Nominees
3oh!3 - Don't Trust Me - Directed by Travis Kopach and Isaac Ravishankara
A global virus attacks every man on the planet in this video except the 3oh!3 duo, who just happen to be male models. Thank goodness!
Asher Roth - I Love College - Directed by Jay Lia & Scooter Braun
Everyone would love college if their experience could be like Asher Roth's in this video, which showcases one epic frat party.
Drake - Best I Ever Had - Directed by Kanye West
He's already a rapper, singer and actor, but Drake adds basketball coach to his resume in the humorous Kanye West-Directed video for "Best I Ever Had."
Kid Cudi - Day N' Nite - Directed by SoMe
Kid Cudi turned his catchy debut single into an artwork masterpiece! Cudi walks around town in his "Day 'N' Nite" video watching everything transform into colourful cartoons.
Lady Gaga - Poker Face - Directed by Ray Kay
The newest queen of the charts turned out this bass-bumping follow-up to "Just Dance." We're not bluffing when we say the Lady is hot in this video.
And FF’s winner is…
Lady Gaga - Poker Face
Although we’d LOVE to give the hilarious 3oh!3 and their single, Don't Trust Me, the winners prize, we’re hard pushed to claim that Lady Gaga isn’t the Best New Artist in this category.
Despite the fact that we don’t really get what she’s up to in the Poker Face video, as well as the fact that Drake’s Best I Ever Had was directed by Kanye West, there is no way we can give anyone else this gong!
