My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance

We're a few weeks away from Leeds and Reading Festival, and we're already excited here at Female First.

So much so, we're kicking off our previews now. Like we did for Download Festival last month, we're going to break down the main headliners across each stage.

We're continuing our preview today with the Leeds Festival Saturday/Reading Festival Friday line-up,

Saturday (Reading Friday)

UNKLE Sounds (Dance Stage)

Co-headlining the Dance Stage, and rounding off the day, is the ever-evolving James Lavelle, who will debut UNKLE Sounds

It's set to be an exciting audio-visual DJ show pushing original tracks from UNKLE’s career plus select remixes of other artists and remixes of UNKLE tracks.

Beady Eye (NME Stage)

Liam Gallagher and Beady Eye will be headlining the NME Stage, despite a lack of chart success since Oasis split.

Nostalgic acts usually go one of two ways, but Beady Eye's refusal to play Oasis songs will probably be to their benefit.

It'll be interesting to see how they are received, but it could be one of the big surprises of the weekend.

Thirty Seconds To Mars (Main Stage)

Thirty Seconds To Mars should fit in perfectly as the "warm-up" act before headliners My Chemical Romance perform.

With Jared Leto's undeniable stage presence, the band should have no problem winning over sceptics in the way AFI did a couple of years ago.

With a huge sound and some epic songs, Thirty Seconds To Mars, in theory, should be a near-perfect festival band.

My Chemical Romance (Main Stage)

The release of Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys has relit a fire in My Chemical Romance.

A shift in style and mood, the album has somehow given MCR even more energy on stage.

Headlining the main stage will allow MCR to provide a true My Chemical Romance show.

Historically, they don't always go down brilliantly at festivals, which may be their only issue.
