We're a few weeks away from Leeds and Reading Festival, and we're already excited here at Female First.
So much so, we're kicking off our previews now. Like we did for Download Festival last month, we're going to break down the main headliners across each stage.
Each day over the weekend will feature a preview of each day of the festival. The line-up is organised in relation to the Leeds days, as that's the one we'll be attending.
Friday (Reading Sunday)
Descendents (Lock Up Stage)
Anyone into punk should get themselves down to the Lock Up Stage on the first day of Leeds Festival.
Having been together since the late '70s, they truly pioneered the genre and influenced most contemporary punk bands.
They look set to take the stage by storm, and will be an energetic way to end the first day.
2manydjs (NME Stage)
Perhaps an odd fit for the NME Stage, 2manydjs will headline the stage and see out the first day of the festival.
Becoming known for producing genre-blending mixes, the brothers went on to produce remixes for the likes of Daft Punk and Kylie Minogue.
Following on from The Streets final show will be tough, and it'll be interesting to see how the duo handle the pressure.
Elbow (Main Stage)
They have just been announced as one of the 12 shortlisted bands for the Mercury Prize, so it shouldn't be a surprise to see Elbow so high up on the bill.
Their reputation and style is a perfect fit for the diverse festival, and they should go down brilliantly.
Elbow will have to do well to warm the crowd up for headliners Muse, but if anyone can manage it, it'd be them.
Muse (Main Stage)
What will undoubtedly be the highlight of the day for most punters, Muse's live reputation is the stuff of legend.
Combining a stunning light show with flawless performances, the trio will surely leave the crowd breathless.
Also noteworthy is that the band will be performing their classic album Origin of Symmetry in full, hinting at an incredible stage show they couldn't provide when they first toured the album.
It looks set to be a truly special show, and possibly the show of the weekend.
