Pulp

Pulp

We're a few weeks away from Leeds and Reading Festival, and we're already excited here at Female First.

So much so, we're kicking off our previews now. Like we did for Download Festival last month, we're going to break down the main headliners across each stage.

In our final general look at the headliners, we preview the line-up for the final day at Leeds/Saturday at Reading.

Sunday (Reading Saturday)

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (Lock Up Stage)

Pioneers of the punk-ska scene, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones were the founders of a scene that progressed to include bands like Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish.

True legends of the genre, their upbeat, catchy brand of ska-punk will be a fitting end to the weekend for anyone who watches their set.

Following on from The King Blues will really help the band, as the crowd are certain to be energetic and up for a party by the time the Bosstones take to the stage.

Jane's Addiction (NME Stage)

An exciting live act, Jane's Addiction will bring the NME Stage to a close for another year at Leeds Festival.

It will be a fitting end to the weekend, and the band will most probably be performing tracks from their new album, set for release next month.

The Strokes (Main Stage)

Co-headlining with Pulp would be intimidating for most bands, but The Strokes will give them a run for their money.

It's almost a perfect combination to co-headline what is becoming a predominently indie festival.

For many punters, this set and the one that follows will be a defining moment of the weekend.

Pulp (Main Stage)

Pulp's Leeds Festival appearance will be their only date in the North of England since their return was announced.

It will be a truly special moment for the band and the fans, with anthems like 'Common People' sure to be the main singalong moments of the weekend.

Their set will end the festival in style, and should be a fantastic conclusion to Leeds Festival for another year.

Check back each week leading up to Reading & Leeds Festivals as we update our coverage.
