Next month (February, 2022) has a whole host of exciting releases for moviegoers to get excited about; from Jackass Forever to Uncharted, February is going to be exciting, to say the least!
Moonfall – February 4th
Moonfall is an upcoming sci-fi movie starring John Bradley, Patrick Wilson and Halle Berry.
The movie follows Houseman (Bradley), conspiracy theorist, as he tries his best to warn officials that the moon has been knocked out of orbit and will make contact with Earth in less than two weeks.
Houseman must get Brian Harper (Wilson) and Jocinda (Berry) on his side, so they can attempt a rescue mission on a colossal scale.
Jackass Forever – February 4th
The fourth instalment in the Jackass franchise is on its way, and has new stunts, skits and cast members to offer its fans.
The last Jackass movie was released in 2011, over a decade ago, but that hasn’t stopped Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and the rest of the crew getting back into the swing of things with Jackass Forever.
This upcoming movie sees Knoxville fired from a cannon, new member Rachel Wolfson lick a stun gun, and Ehren McGhehey gets covered with honey and salmon – for what? We’re sure you can guess...
The Eyes of Tammy Faye – February 4th
Andrew Garfield and Jessica Chastain star alongside one another in this upcoming narrative that centres on a religious empire gone wrong.
In the 1970s, Tammy Faye Bakker (Chastain) and her husband, Jim (Garfield), rose from a simple start to create the biggest religious broadcasting network and theme park in the world.
Despite the couple’s ambitions, financial troubles, plotting rivals and a scandal threaten to destroy everything they worked hard to build.
Death on the Nile – February 11th
A newlywed couple are in for a shock when their delightful cruise is ruined by news of a murder during their honeymoon trip down the River Nile.
Death on the Nile is a sequel to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express; both are film adaptations from novelist Agatha Christie’s works.
Stars of the feature include Gal Gadot, Letitia Wright, Emma Mackey, Russell Brand, and Kenneth Branagh.
Uncharted – February 11th
Tom Holland takes centre-stage as the beloved video game character Nathan Drake in this forthcoming action-adventure release.
Nate (Holland) is recruited by Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) in order to complete a simple heist job; however, neither he nor Sully are prepared for the dangerous adventure that waits them.
Many fans are on the fence about Drake being cast so young, but only time will tell if this has paid off.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre – February 18th (Netflix)
A reboot (of sorts) will be heading to Netflix next month that stars one of horror’s most terrifying villains...
Leatherface is back in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a movie that follows on directly from the original released in 1974; the upcoming Netflix sequel will ignore all previous instalments of the franchise, much like 2018’s Halloween that linked directly to the 1978 original.
It seems the killer is back and, once again, will be setting his sights on a group of unlucky souls...
Cyrano – February 15th
Based on the play, titled Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, Cyrano follows the heartbreaking tale of a man who loves a girl through another.
Cyrano (Peter Dinklage) is deeply in love with Roxanne (Hayley Bennett), but he feels as though he cannot tell her due to his physical appearance; so, he enlists the help of Christian (Kelvin Harrison Jr.) to tell Roxanne how he feels.
Cyrano is set to be a beautiful feature, one that will see hope and love hand-in-hand.
