Daniel Espinosa has been linked to the director's job on Assassin's Creed.
Assassin's Creed is a computer game adaptation film that has been in the pipeline for some time, and sees Michael Fassbender attached to the lead role.
It has been reported by Twitch Film, that Espinosa is one of the strong favourites to helm the project.
Espinosa grabbed everyone's attention with Easy Money, and has since gone on to make Safe House with Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington.
Child 44 is another of his films that will be hitting the big screen in 2014, starring Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman.
Fassbender is the only actor who is currently attached to the Assassin's Creed project, but Scott Frank and Michael Lesslie are on board to pen the screenplay.
Assassin's Creed has been given a UK release date of 6th August 2015, so filming should get underway at some point this year.
Assassin's Creed is just one of the movies that Fassbender is linked to, as he is also set to star in Genius.
He has completed work on Slow West, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Frank and a Terrence Malick movie.
