Ubisoft announces iconic trilogy, The Ezio Collection, is coming to Nintendo Switch

The Assassin’s Creed franchise is a well-known and beloved series of games, with characters that stay with you well after the game is completed. Ezio is among the most popular characters, and his outstanding trio of games are heading to Nintendo Switch.

The Ezio Collection began in 2009 with Assassin’s Creed II, which introduced Ezio Auditore da Firenze to the franchise. Ezio’s games see him go from a carefree teen, to a focused and talented assassin.

His character arc is still beloved by fans today, as Ezio goes through the loss of his family, training to kill, and hunting down those responsible for the deaths of those he loved. He is a strong-willed and somewhat stubborn character, and everything about his personality, wit and narratives mean he is adored by fans of the franchise.

The Ezio Collection for the Nintendo Switch will contain Ezio’s trilogy; Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations, as well as two short films: Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Embers.

Players will once again, or for the very first time, take control of Ezio, the most revered character in Assassin’s Creed history; the trilogy invites fans of the franchise to marvel at what many state to be the best games in not just the franchise’s history, but in Ubisoft’s, too.

The games will be fully playable offline and are, of course, great for on-the-go play with a Nintendo Switch console.

The Ezio Collection includes:

Assassin’s Creed II: In this opus, players will control Ezio, a new Assassin carrying on the dangerous lineage of his ancestors through Renaissance Italy, including Florence and Venice. Grow as an assassin in an environment rich with power, wielding weapons and instruments designed by the legendary Leonardo da Vinci. (All solo DLC is available along the single-player campaign.)

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood: Playing as Ezio is in an enduring struggle against the powerful Templar Order; all fans will journey into Italy’s most well-known city, Rome. This will require both strength and a level head, as you command an entire Brotherhood, who will lay down their lives for freedom.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations: In his final tale, Ezio must leave his life behind in search of answers. You will walk in the footsteps of legendary mentor, Altaïr, on a journey of discovery and revelation. This arduous adventure takes them to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threaten to destabilise the region.

Bonus content: two Films about Ezio. In addition to gameplay, this collection also includes two short films that dive even deeper into Ezio’s story, Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Embers.
