If you are as excited as I am for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the good news is you only have three weeks to wait until it hits the big screen.
The more I see of this movie, the more I cannot wait to see the rest: I seriously think it is going to be one of the best movies of summer 2014.
We have already enjoyed clips that have featured Caesar and new character Malcolm, and now we are going to be introduced to Alexander.
Played by Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexander is the teenage son of Malcolm (Jason Clarke) and he comes face to face with orangutan Maurice:
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes three years after the success of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but this time around, Matt Reeves is in the director's chair.
Reeves takes over the helm from Rupert Wyatt, while Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Mark Bomback have penned the screenplay.
It is also all change on the cast list, as Clarke and Smit-McPhee are two of the new faces, alongside Gary Oldman, and Keri Russell.
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier.
They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is released 17th July.
