Vivienne Westwood attended the send off
The fashion world was fighting for invitations to celebrate the career of Hilary Alexander, Fashion Director of the The Daily Telegraph.
The Telegraph and The British Fashion Council provided a stylish send off with people such as Vivienne Westwood, Sarah Burton, Margaret Howell and Roland Mouret in attendance.
Through the tribute, Alexander was described as: "The heart of London Fashion Week and an inspiration to young journalists."
Suzy Menkes, Fashion Editor of the International Herald Tribune and Hilary's friend said she had "fantastic energy."
She was thanked for her contribution to both fashion and journalism as she has decided up her major fashion role to embark on an Archaelogy degree.
