Abbey Clancy insists 'Britain's Next Top Model' will give the competitors a "crash course in modelling".

The 29-year-old star is sitting on the judging panel of the new series of the model search show which catapulted her to fame alongside Hilary Alexander, Paul Sculfor and Nicky Johnston.
Abbey is adamant the contestants can get some invaluable lessons on how to make a career in the fashion world if they pay attention to the experts' critiques.
In an interview with Star magazine, she said: "We are never personal, it's all constructive criticism. The things I learnt on the show have stood me in good stead throughout my career. It's a valuable crash course in modelling ... It's a great platform and, as much as the girls can have an amazing time, they need to pay attention and take as much from it as they can."
Abbey - who has two children with husband Peter Crouch - is a very straight talking judge with the girls and surprised herself with her directness with the would-be catwalk stars.
She explained: "It has to be real, it's reality TV - I've been myself. You get found out if you're fake or you try to take on a different persona ... Obviously, I've been in their position, so I know what the contestants are going through and how petrified they are. I'm stronger with them than I thought I'd be, I thought I'd be soft, but I'm a bit like, 'Listen, do it!' But telling them they have to go home is horrific."
'Britain's Next Top Model' premieres on Lifetime on 14 January at 9pm.
