Peacocks are opening a massive store in Southampton in May.

The chain is giving rivals Primark and New Look a run for their money in the discount fashion market and is investing £21.5 million in the expansion.

Managing director Tim Bettley said:” Peacocks is the UK 's hottest value fashion retailer and Southampton will be one of the biggest store spaces we open this year.”

“Southampton shoppers want fast fashion and trend-led must-haves at the best prices; that's what our new store will be about.”

Fashion united also reported that the company are planning to open a further 30 stores in addition to their existing 470 shops.
