Upfronts Week continues and yesterday saw The CW given their opportunity to show off what they have coming in the next few months, and the network certainly didn't disappoint.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow
A spin-off from both Arrow and The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow brings together some of the big names we've already seen on-screen with other members of a unique team that are making their debut, including Hawkgirl and the time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter.
In order to save their cities and indeed the world, these heroes must go up against Vandhal Savage - an immortal who commands a hugely powerful army and whose evil spans throughout history. Travelling through time to stop him, the group look set to take on some of the biggest challenges they could ever face.
Caity Lotz's role has also been revealed in the trailer after fans of Arrow saw her die in the third season. Resurrected in the Lazarus Pits, she returns as deadly assassin White Canary, completing the team alongside Firestorm, The Atom, Captain Cold and Heatwave.
Containment
Creator of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, Julie Plec returns with her brand new CW series, detailing just what happens when a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta.
With a vast urban quarantine quickly enforced so that the situation can be contained, the world looks to be safe, but those stuck on the inside are forced to fight for their lives.
David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black, George Young, Hanna Mangan Lawrence and Trevor St. John all star in a new show based on the original Belgian series created by Carl Joos for Eyeworks.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Getting an hourlong series from The CW, this is a show originally developed at Showtime but then moved when the network didn't think it was a good fit for them.
Rachel Bloom stars as a woman in search of happiness and romance in Los Angeles suburb West Covina. Giving up her partnership in a New York law firm to reach that goal, this is a comedy that CW president Mark Pedowitz said was a perfect fit for his network.
Bloom co-wrote the pilot episode with Brosh McKenna, and the show will air Mondays on The CW at 8/7c this fall.
