'Coronation Street's Ken Barlow is to find a new admirer.
The veteran soap character - played by William Roache - is set to find himself the object of Cathy's sister affections following the death of his wife Deirdre, played by the late Anne Kirkbride.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Cathy's sister sets her sights on Ken very soon after arriving in Weatherfield. Viewers will even see her quizzing his friends in a bid to work out how best to seduce him. She is determined to win him over.
"But fans will have to wait to see if her passion is reciprocated. It is the beginning of a major storyline for Ken Barlow."
Meanwhile, the 83-year-old actor has insisted he has no plans to retire from the Cobbles any time soon.
He said recently: "It's great that 'Corrie' still want me. I've got some good stories coming up which I'm excited about. People always ask when I'm going to retire, and I say not any time soon. If you want to keep young, you have to keep going.
"The fact I have to learn so many lines is good for me. I love the Street and everybody in it. I'm very fortunate to have been in it so long. I still film from 7am to 8pm just like I did when I first started."
