The 19-year-old singer wants to pursue his singing career away from the reality show after his duet with singer Jessie J which went viral.
The Leeds lad took to Twitter to apologies to his fans and mentor saying, "Due to personal reasons I have decided to withdraw from The X Factor. Thank you to all the judges, especially Nick for his belief in me."
The politics student added, "I want to wish all the contestants the best of luck and thank you to the public for supporting me and my dream. #xfactor"
Ellen met viral singing sensation Tom Bleasby, and helped arrange the duet of a lifetime with his idol, Jessie J.
In a statement, The X Factor said: "We can confirm that Tom Bleasby has chosen to withdraw from the competition due to personal reasons."
Meanwhile, fans are being invited to get closer than ever to the television series, with the new BopHeads app allowing fans to make their own music videos and 'audition' for a chance to appear on TV in between ad breaks.
