Paul Akister is hoping the eight-piece boyband Stereo Kicks do well during their time on The X Factor.
Voted off of the ITV reality talent show last weekend, Paul admitted to growing close to Barclay Beales of Stereo Kicks and is rooting for him and his bandmates to go far in the competition.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz Paul explained who he would miss the most: "Barclay out of the eight piece, Stereo Kicks. It has just really been Barclay, the closest one, because he's like me so we've been getting along and it will be nice to see him out of this competition."
Paul went on to say he had admiration for the group's determination, as he isn't sure he'd be able to cope if he was put with seven contestants he'd never met or performed with in the past.
"They're really nice and they're... It's weird to see them all get along well because for me, if I was in a group I'd be quite uptight all the time but they're really cool together and I want them to do well because it must be hard to be shoved into a group. I couldn't do it."
Meanwhile, Paul also rubbished claims that his quiet personality could see him fail in pursuing a career in the music industry.
"100 per cent not true. You don't have to be flying about to be a credible artist. You don't have to be doing cartwheels onto the stage and jumping around in interviews. I think it's quite good to see different people."
