It is often said that the best things come in pairs, and never did that seem truer than with duo, and twin sister act, Francine and Nicola.

Wiping tears of happiness from their eyes, the two girls seemed quite overwhelmed with what had just happened, after their successful Manchester audition.

“We’ve been really nervous all day” said Francine (or Nicola): “We are just so glad to have made it through!

“We’ve been up since 4 o’clock this morning thinking and stressing about it, it’s been awful! Nothing can be that scary now, we’ve been really worried about our driving test, but sitting next to an instructor doesn’t seem that bad now!”

The girls have just finished their A-Levels and are waiting to go join university in September, but they are hoping to put all that on hold if they make it with The X Factor.

The girls impressed with their duet of the Avril Lavigne song When You’re Gone, and were ecstatic to get four yeses. However they were left bemused when Simon said they had the personality of two bananas:

“We didn’t really understand that,” they say, with puzzled looks stretched across their faces: “Maybe it’s because we’ve got yellow tops on or something!”

Yellow tops or not, their vocals were strong enough to see them go sailing through to bootcamp, where we’re sure their ‘twice-as-nice’ appeal, will have more than a few of the boys going bananas for them!
