Today has seen Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida plead guilty to a staggering $2.3 million mail, wire and bank fraud case.
Appearing in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Tuesday May 6, he accepted all charges against him.
This means Apollo could face up to 30 years behind bars as well as a fine of up to $1 million in addition to the more than $2 million he defrauded.
The sentence hearing has been set for 2pm on July 8 of this year.
Apollo told the court "I take full responsibility for my actions. It was a dumb situation I put myself in."
Reports claim he also said of how his wife Phaedra Parks was kept completely in the dark and had no reason to doubt his legitimacy in running a real debt recovery firm.
Despite this, he also claimed the pressures of being married to a reality star who was earning much more than he did were in part the reason for his actions.
"I got sucked in and engulfed and lost sight of things" he admitted, claiming he had a nervous breakdown at one point because of the pressures he faced.
"It's my fault at the end of the day." he continued.
Production kicks off soon on the seventh season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and the drama surrounding the married couple is now expected to take centre stage.
