The Love Island villa could be set to see one of its biggest bombshell reactions tonight (February 12th, 2020), when scorned contestant Shaughna admits she has started to catch feelings for another one of her fellow Islanders.
Despite viewers thinking she might be a perfect match for the latest addition to the Island, Jamie, Shaughna reveals in tonight’s episode that she actually has her eyes on someone else. Could a brand new romance be on the cards?
Luke M – our resident Justin Bieber lookalike – is the object of Shaughna’s affections, which couldn’t come at a better time since Shaughna was ditched by Callum following his time in Casa Amor; and Natalia pretty much dumped Luke M as soon as she found herself becoming a part of the main villa.
Speaking with Mike, Shaughna reveals: “I think since Jamie has come into the villa and been chatting to me and what not, it’s made me realise some things. I think I might have some feelings for Luke M…"
Mike later tells Finn and Paige, with the latter admitting despite her initial shock, the signs have been there all along.
“Maybe when you put all the pieces together, I’m shocked I’ve not seen it before,” she says in the Beach Hut. “Every time he walks by, Shaughna drops him comments, every time he’s there, they flirt. She married him in the Snog, Marry, Pie game. Maybe the signs have been there and we’ve just never asked the question. So it’ll be interesting to see how this pans out.”
Of course, Shaughna now has to navigate the dangerous field of potentially upsetting her friend Demi, and potentially even telling Luke M about her emotions and not having them reciprocated.
With Paige encouraging her to be upfront and honest, but to speak to Demi first, will we see a brand new couple emerge as frontrunners in the first-ever edition of winter Love Island? Or is Shaughna playing with fire, and about to get burnt?
