Paddy Jones will have a doctor waiting in the wings at the final of Britain's Got Talent this weekend.
The 79-year-old salsa dancing granny admits she is not feeling "100 per cent" after cracking her ribs while rehearsing for last week's semi-final show and doctors have urged her to rest.
However, the defiant star has insisted on continuing on in the ITV talent competition and will have a GP on standby in the studio for her performance with dance partner Nico Espinosa.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I am not 100 per cent better and am still in a bit of pain but Nico is adapting the routine so he doesn't hurt me when he lifts me.
"One doctor in Spain told me not to dance for a month, while another said no dancing ever. But my doctor here is coming to the studio with me.
"During the semi-final I did a turn and I was extremely dizzy and I have a problem in my ear. But we are being careful and now I can't wait for the final."
The talented dancer also revealed she is planning to hang up her dancing shoes after tomorrow night's 'BGT' final and take it easy in the future.
She added: "I celebrate my 80th birthday in July. I want to get home and get back to normal. Over the past month, I thought, 'Get to 80 then tone it down.' Then things went quite mad.
"But I have to be realistic and getting older I can't do the things I did nine years ago -- the things Nico wants me to do I can't do any more."
