The 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional had to pull out of Channel 4 reality show 'The Jump' following a fall in training and admits the following days were awful as she feared her career was over.

Speaking about the period between injuring her leg and undergoing surgery on the problem, she said: "Every morning I'd wake up thinking it was a bad dream. Then the horror of it would hit me.

"I'm an active person, love dancing and going to the gym but I couldn't even walk properly.

"I'd lost 'The Jump', couldn't finish 'Strictly' and had to cancel tours with Arlene Phillips. Losing so much played on my mind and I was at my lowest ebb ever."

It was initially reported that Ola had broken her leg and she admits she would rather have damaged the bones in both limbs than have undergone the pain from snapping the anterior ligament.

She said: "Some reports were stating that I broke my leg, but that's not true either. I would rather have broken both limbs than suffer this type of injury because it will take much longer to recover."

However, the dancer insists she will be returning to work on 'Strictly' eventually.

She told HELLO! magazine: "I was never told I might not dance again... My surgeon Andy Williams is one of the top three specialists in knee ligaments in the world and he told me that once it's healed, my knee will be stronger than ever before."
