Kian Egan has advised 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' contestants to stay under the radar and not play a game.
The former Westlife singer - who was crowned King of the Jungle in 2013 - thinks louder characters can "dig their own graves" by seeking to establish themselves and attract attention in their first days in camp.
He advised: "For the celebs heading to the jungle this year that are keen to win, my advice is don't play a game. Be yourself, be a team player and look after everyone...
"In the first week or so, often some of the louder characters jostle for attention and they dig their own graves.
"I didn't partake in that and sat back and let them get on with it."
Kian took on the role of camp chef and thinks having a sense of purpose helped him not crack under pressure.
He told Closer magazine: "I don't think it necessarily makes you more popular to have a role like that - but it does give you a purpose and helps break up your day, which helps you stay strong mentally - as that's surprisingly tough."
Spandau Ballet star Tony Hadley, 'Hollyoaks' actress Jorgie Porter and former boxing champion Chris Eubank are among the stars set to enter the 'I'm A Celeb' jungle when the show kicks off tonight (15.11.15) at 9pm on ITV.
