Big Brother eye
It is currently Day 5 of Celebrity Big Brother and it is already a fantastic series.
A lot of my opinions have changed since Monday, I have done a Pauline styled U-Turn on Leslie Jordan, at first he was a breath of fresh air, but now he has become rather annoying and kind of patronising.
Another person who I have turned against is James Jordan, I always knew he wasn't the most pleasant of people from his appearances on Strictly Come Dancing, but the way he has been condescending towards Gary Busey wasn't acceptable, I was rather annoyed that he got away with threatening to hit Gary, I bet if Gary threatened to hit James it would be another story as James would make hell out of it to Big Brother and his fellow housemates.
This week I have found a love for Claire King, I love the fact that she was one of the only people to actually give Gary a chance, everyone else just ignores Gary or has already stopped speaking to him for various reasons, yet Claire has been a really nice housemate and has actually given him a chance, I am seeing a Gillian Taylforth side to her, she seems to be Gary's only ally in the house, but still gets on with everyone and in a few weeks when there is a divide could really unite people.
White Dee had a task in which she had to fool Gary Busey, Leslie Jordan and Frenchy Morgan (all US citizens), that she was 21st in line to the throne and was a duchess, you have to give it to her, she did amazingly well, I may be a bit biased as I had shared many Direct Messages with Dee on Twitter prior to her Celebrity Big Brother appearance, but she is genuinely a great housemate and I cannot wait to see what else she provides us with.
As much as I am really enjoying hearing the stories and I think it could do wonders to the LGBT community, I am starting to wonder if there is more to Kellie Maloney than her stories about her recent change, I think her stories are great, and it was nice to see her talk openly about them, but there isn't much depth to her I feel, I think that she may be a bit background come next week.
I wasn't sure about Ricci's signing for the show, as much as I have never seen Geordie Shore and I don't plan to, I heard various stories about Ricci that didn't paint him in a good light, however this series he has shown himself to be a nice enough guy, I feel this could do to him what it did to Mario Falcone.
I am absolutely loving George Gilbey from Gogglebox, I love the fact he is just a normal guy with a great sense of humour, he is a fantastic housemate and I found it hilarious on launch night when he pretty much forgot he was famous and just barked on about being an electrician, people love George and he could easily win the show.
I don't have much of an opinion on Stephanie Pratt, David McIntosh (who is a poor mans Thom Evans on a scale of Kelly Brook lovers), Frenchy Morgan (who isn't really famous, but isn't at a Danielle Meagher level where Big Brother didn't even know how to spell her surname) Lauren Goodger and Audley Harrison yet I'm afraid, although Gary calling Audley a different name was possibly my highlight of the launch show (except for Emma almost entering Celebrity Big Brother of course), I'm sure they will provide some entertainment soon.
Edele is another that hasn't been shown on the highlights shows, however I do love B*Witched, so she can have a finalist place for Blame It On The Weatherman alone.
Which leads me onto Gary, who is amazing entertainment, he is possibly my favourite housemate of all time and its only Day 5, there is a reason he has always been top of my wishlist for Celebrity Big Brother and he has shown everyone that reason, he is hilarious and his stories are just so fascinating, if only people like David, James and Leslie would cheer up and see that, because I know most of the public are currently siding with Gary and as shown with Ashleigh Coyle this past series, we could see Gary doing extremely well.
Overall a fantastic week to start off the series, but it certainly could turn a bit bitter if housemates continue this vendetta against Gary, my 3 stars of the week are Claire King, Mr Busey and Dee Kelly, all 3 fantastic housemates.
