Dean Andrews married his wife on his 60th birthday - after she issued him with an ultimatum.
The 'Emmerdale' actor has revealed he and Helen Bowen-Green tied the knot on his 60th birthday last August, after 12 years together, because she had previously told Dean she wouldn't marry anyone over 60, and he fortunately managed to get the nuptials in just in time.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We never found time to get wed.
"And then Helen said, ‘I won’t marry someone over 60.'
"So I thought, 'I better get that sorted.' People did say, 'Deano, why get married at 60?'
"But I’m happy to have found love with such a wonderful woman and [wanted to] celebrate that."
It's not the only time the 'Life on Mars' star has got married in recent years.
In 2022, his 'Emmerdale' character Will Taylor wed legendary Dales character Kim Tate (Claire King), and he joked it is a "good thing" the 62-year-old actress and his real-life significant other "get on really well".
Claire was even a guest at the pair's big day.
Dean wrote on Instagram at the time: "I was hoping my two wives would be a little more upset when they found out about each other but it looks like they don’t give two hoots @hbg_indiarose #claireking @emmerdale' (sic)"
Dean has admitted his wedding was a "brilliant day", and he recalled meeting Helen at a mutual friend’s 40th birthday.
He added: "She had recently separated and I had also recently separated.
"I saw her at this party and thought she was a rather attractive lady, so it wasn’t too difficult for me to ask if she’d like a drink."
