Dancing With The Stars - This season has caused some consternation - after all the challenge on a show such as this is to strike a balance, keeping the whole thing competitive while at the same time raising the level of the competition.

It is almost impossible to exclude contestants with previous dance experience celebrities, When "Dancing" is fun, it's because familiar faces are learning to do something new. They don't have to start out as terrible dancers. Some people have natural musicality and coordination, and they surprise you right out of the gate.

But when you include a football player an actress or two and an 80-year-old astronaut well these can be more of a challenge to maintain the standard and compete with the more naturals.

So what did Monday bring, Kate Gosselin is hilariously terrible, and to add more fire in the mix it's patently obvious that her dance partner, Tony Dovolani, really does not like her. She can forget the people don't stick with her self pity approach her jive was nothing short of hideous, an string puppet would have performed better.

Soap star Aiden Turner seems to be in the same boat with his partner the super talented Edyta Sliwinska, I mean how can anyone fail to dance well with her as a partner. Edyta even made George Hamilton into a acceptable dancer, producers next season give her someone of note. With Edyta who it must be said displays the patience of a saint things must be bad when she gets mad it's not because she's naturally impatient.

NFL star player Chad Ochocinco danced a fox-trot that left head judge Len Goodman outright saying that he had nothing encouraging to say at all, to leave Len in this state doesn't bode well going forward. Meanwhile Buzz Aldrin 'bless him his fox-trot was actually worse than his cha-cha of last week, because he tried to move more, Jake Pavelka, actress Niecy Nash, and Shannen Doherty all performed better than last week.

At the other end of the scoring gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek, turned in an excellent jive that impressed all the judges, ESPN's Erin Andrews and Pamela Anderson both impressed the judges.

Then it turns into a farce for it's become fairly clear that the worst thing the "Dancing With the Stars" producers have done this season is to cast Nicole Scherzinger. Her jive was perfect, she has earned a ten score, already in the completion for her jive. It is quite clear that,

Scherzinger has no credible competition for the title, which isn't surprising, considering that the others are amateur dancers and she is a professional. Looking at the rest only Evan Lysacek and outsider Anderson are within touching distance and we are only in round two, the competition element has gone out of the show.

But after Monday Buzz and Gosselin look to be in most trouble going into the public vote.
