King of the Jungle Christopher Biggins

Last year’s King of the Jungle, Christopher Biggins admits that he would love to see the Republican Party Vice President nominee Sarah Palin in the jungle. He says: "She seems like a tough cookie and her hunting experience would come in very handy."

After winning over the public and his fellow camp mates with his infectious laugh, hilarious stories and his offering of a sympathetic ear, the presenter admits that he is actually looking forward to handing over his crown.

"I’m very, very excited about handing my crown over to the new King or Queen this year. I have no regrets from last year’s show and loved every minute of it and am looking forward to returning to have a snoop around behind the scenes before the new celebrities arrive."

"My tip for the new celebrities is to be yourself, but watch out for the boredom it can be tough."   A firm favourite with all his fellow camp mates, Biggins admits that Anna Ryder Richardson was ‘pure heaven’ and his hilarious challenge of sleeping with rats has helped conquer his fear.

"I have a number of highlights from last year, my fellow jungle mate, Anna Ryder Richardson was pure heaven and I did enjoy the 10,000 gallon water trial and in retrospect sleeping with 200 rats, I now have less of a fear than I did."

He continues: "It was such a great experience and I’ve kept in touch with Jay, Gemma [Atkinson], Lynn [Franks], Cerys [Matthews] and of course Anna [Ryder Richardson]. I was very surprised I won, and felt both shocked and thrilled. I am ever grateful to the British public for their support."
