American Idol - As Simon Cowell told the 'Idol' contestants this week was a Big Deal because only the top 10 finalists make it onto the summer tour, and whoever got sent home would miss out.
Well the loser in the fame stakes was Paige Miles which will have come as no surprise after Tuesdays performance. Indeed it was more a mercy mission because the girl cut a forlon figure each week dreading the judges comments.
In reality she was never good enough for the finals. No surprise either when the the judges chose not to save her, though Simon Cowell did do her the courtesy of telling her in his usual kind and sensitive why there was no chance of that happening, before she could even get her hopes up.
In fact, the whole show was boring and predictable. Tim Urban was in the bottom three, as predicted. Katie Stevens was hardly a shock pick to be the third member of that unlucky trio,
So what entertainment did we get for 60 minutes of Idol, we did learn from the results show - Siobhan Magnus’ fans are now revealled as Siobhambies, and have fake blood on their face as part of the costume.
Joe Jonas was the judge in Dallas who was responsible for Tim Burton making it to Hollywood, and Ryan Seacrest reminded him of that and pointed to Tim on the far end of the stage in the Chairs of Shame, Joe greeted the singer with "How’s it going, Tim?" Then he thought about it for a second and added, "I guess it’s not going that well."
When asked what her biggest problem is, Didi gave a long and confusing answer about not knowing what the judges want and she’s trying to please them.
When asked who she listens to when the judges disagree on their advice for her, Crystal Bowersox told Ryan, "Me." which proves the is the point Simon was making on Tuesday when he said the other contestants should look to Crystal for inspiration, and why she is a favorite... Didi take note do it your way
The only other memorable piece of entertainment was group sing had the finalists strut around to Wham’s "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go." but note I have not said why it was memorable, thats your call
