American Idol In what was arguably a travesty the glass blower from Massachusetts Siobhan Magnus became the seventh victim of the public vote.
Shiobhan has always been a 'contradiction' but in a good way which in our opinion made her a stand-out performer when compared to the bland sameness of the other finalists. It also has to be said the judges never quite 'got' her mostly because of her individuality.
Her individual style was the highlight of the show - take the Tuesday show all about the glasses coupled with punk - country - charity shop styling.
Magnus was the only contestant to turn Ryan Seacrest's weekly drivel into some sort of sense, before confidently answering the judges when they criticised her.
But Magnus became the seventh singer, and the fifth woman, voted off 'Idol' leaving with Crystal Bowersox as the only credible winner in what has turned into a one horse sprint to the finishing line.
Lee Dewyze, Casey James, Aaron Kelly and Michael Lynche, the other remaining contestants cannot between them muster up enough charisma and stage presence to lift the show out of the doldrums.
Michael Lynche and Casey James were also in the bottom three, so Aaron Kelly, Lee Dewyze and CrYstal Bowersox were the top three, a strange voting pattern
Guests on the show included Shakira Lady Antebellum singing 'Need You Now,' along with and Rascal Flatts and Sons of Sylvia but Shania Twain this weeks mentor didn't.
With arguably this season having the strongest crop of female talent it seems odd that only one remains with a pretty average group of forgettable guys making up the numbers... It is becoming a distinct possibility that we may see Bowersox voted out and Kelly making the final two before going on to beat Michael Lynche to the title - as bizarre as the public voting seems.
