Yesterday saw television legend Noel Edmonds finally enter the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp alongside some other famous faces, and whilst we're yet to see what he gets up to with his fellow stars in the confines of the Aussie landscape, it's fair to say he's made quite the impression on audiences throughout the years.

Here, we take a look back at his years in showbusiness, remembering his best moments to-date, and some that have had our eyebrows raised higher than Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson...

Best: When he flew performers to Live Aid in helicopters

Say what you like about Noel Edmonds, but the man clearly has a charitable heart. Back on July 13, 1985, Bob Geldof's incredible fundraising concert Live Aid was watched by over 1.5 billion people around the world. Noel had a part in ensuring performers would get on stage, because of his helicopter company based in Battersea. From there, he would fly people into London Transport's cricket ground, which sits around 400 yards from Wembley Stadium, even though there was a cricket tournament taking place on the grounds at the same time!

Noel says at the time, David Bowie's management insisted he would only fly to the event in a helicopter that was blue on the inside, and luckily he managed to find one. When he told Bowie about the colour however, he says the performer looked at him as if he was mad! Looks like management had their wires crossed...

Worst: His claims negative energy causes cancer

Noel hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons earlier this year, when he told a cancer survivor that "negative energy" may have been the reason behind their prior diagnosis.

Refusing to apologise during an appearance on the Victoria Derbyshire Show, he doubled down on his comments and said: "It is a scientific fact that negative energy causes disease and negative thoughts are part of that process. It changes the outcome and millions of doctors and scientists will tell you that."

As you can imagine, it caused quite the negative response from everybody who had heard what he'd said, and to be fair, we don't blame the outpouring of offence.

Best: Landing Deal or No Deal

With 3,003 British episodes, it's fair to say Deal or No Deal has been one of the most successful gameshows of the modern era. Noel fronted every one, and gave out prizes ranging from a penny to a quarter of a million pounds to both civilian and celebrity contestants, resulting in millions being given away.

Olly Murs was even a contestant on the show before his rise to fame thanks to The X Factor, but only walked away with £10. Thankfully, his singing has seen him take home plenty more!

Worst: The failure of Blobbyland

The late 1990s saw Noel and Mr Blobby more famous than ever before. With over 17 million tuning into Noel's House Party on television every week, it was clear the giant pink alien was a hit with audiences. Noel saw pound signs and decided that one of the best ways to capitalise on the success of Blobby was to open a theme park centred around the chaotic character.

Unfortunately for Noel, Blobbyland in Lancashire closed down just three months after opening, resulting in a £2 million loss for the local cancel. There was hope in a second theme park however in Somerset, which stayed open all the way up to Noel's House Party's conclusion on the BBC in 1999.

Neither did as well as Noel will have hoped however, and didn't do much to cement Mr Blobby's place in the showbiz Hall of Fame.

Best: Entering the I'm A Celeb jungle as 'The Emperor'

Though we've only seen a small slice of what Noel will be offering this year's series of I'm A Celeb, he's already made an impact with his entrance as 'The Emperor' in the latest Bushtucker Trial. It looks as if the TV personality will be given the opportunity to watch over proceedings on his first night in the jungle rather than getting involved himself, but who knows what producers have got up their sleeves?

One thing's for sure; the Great British public will be putting him through his paces for as long as he survives in the competition! We can't wait to see it all go down...

Worst: When he offered a fan's cat some words of motivation over the phone

Writing an open essay for The Guardian back in 2016, cat owner Peter Ormerod explained how he had gone to Noel's official website and filled out a form to use his phone-a-pet service.

Ormerod claims his application was successful, and Noel rang his phone to chat to his cat, offering the moggy "words of affirmation and motivation."

He continued: "Before long, the phone was placed beside the hairy ears of the cat, while Edmonds offered reassurance and hope."

If true, what more needs to be said?

See Noel enter the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp tonight (November 22) on ITV at 9pm.
