William Fichtner never reads reviews.
The actor, who is best known for his roles in 'Prison Break' and 'Crossing Lines' and is to star in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' later this year, has only read one review throughout his entire career.
The 57-year-old star admitted that a negative review he read in the early days of his acting career "rocked him" and he has tried to avoid them ever since.
Explaining that he believes everyone has a right to an opinion, but that opinion doesn't matter to him, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It doesn't really matter to me whether somebody likes it or not. It isn't going to change how much I'm going to try or work to the best of my ability."
William, whose career has spanned over 20 years, admitted that the foundation is always in the script, saying: "If it's not on the page, it's not on the stage."
He added that his key to getting in role is to remember that a character's journey doesn't start in the first episode.
He said: "Your character is not what happens in the first episode of the first season, it's what happened up to the point that the first episode begins."
