William Fichtner is tired of people comparing his 'Crossing Lines' and 'Prison Break' characters.
The 57-year-old actor stars as Detective Carl Hickman in the crime drama and has confessed he finds it annoying that people are constantly comparing it to his role as FBI Special Agent Alex Mahone in 'Prison Break'.
Despite both of the characters being in law enforcement and suffering from substance abuse problems, William insists they are very different roles.
He explained: "Just because they are both cops ... They are completely different people from completely different backgrounds. One was an FBI agent in 'Prison Break' that had his own issues and problems and one was a city cop in New York."
'The Lone Ranger' star went on to explain that every character he has ever played has been on a completely different journey, even if they do have certain similarities on the surface.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "You could put seven cop roles in a row, they could all be guys that work for the same department and all live in the same neighbourhood and I guarantee you that all seven of them are completely different people."
'Crossing Lines' is premiering exclusively on Amazon Prime Instant Video.
