Tracy Barlow will be arrested for murder in 'Coronation Street' next month.
The pawnbroker - played by Kate Ford - killed Kal Nazir (Jimi Mistry) and Maddie Heath (Amy James-Kelly) back in May when she set fire to Victoria Court and the past is now set to catch up with her when she is confronted by police in front of her friends and family in the Rovers Return pub.
A show source said: "Everyone will be cheering when Tracy gets arrested."
Earlier this year, the villainous character stole keys to Carla Connor's (Alison King) flat and used a candle to sneak around but left the flame unattended and scarpered when she realised Carla was asleep on the sofa.
A fire then spread through the apartment block, almost killing her own daughter Amy who had been asleep in the bedroom, leaving Carla torturing herself with guilt.
The show insider explained: "Tracy's greed and plotting has killed two people and ruined Carla's life."
However, the slippery character - whose first kill came back in 2007 when she hit her abusive beau Charlie Stubbs over the head - isn't "fazed" by the incident and feels confident she can save herself from a stint in prison.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Tracy isn't fazed by the police. This isn't her first brush with the law and she's sure she can talk her way out of it."
