Elle Mulvaney "worries" her mum will let slip her upcoming 'Coronation Street' storylines.
The 21-year-old actress has played the role of Amy Barlow on the ITV1 soap opera since 2010 and has seen her character go through a number of dramatic storylines over the years but while she thinks her dad will be "okay" when it comes to keeping shtum, worries that it would be her mum that would "leak" future plot details out.
She told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "It's always a worry - letting it slip. I think my mum would leak it but my dad is okay. My dad actually does all my scripts with me so it's really hard not to let things slip when he's reading it."
In recent weeks, Amy has seen her romance with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) blossom but has also been part of a major kidnap plot and Elle went on to add that it is "so nice" to be trusted with high-profile storylines by the writers.
She said: "I've grown up in the show so it's nice to be given the nod of confidence that they trust me and they want me to do big things. It's exciting. I have been really lucky. It's great getting to do all these stunts. There has been a lot going on. It's just nice to get to do something different. Adam [Hussain] is great who plays Aadi. I mean it's just great fun isn't it - getting to do a night shoot with one of your mates. What more can I ask for? We have had a laugh."
Elle also teased that when it comes to Christmas, Amy - who is the daughter of Street villain Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and taxi driver Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson - will be growing "closer" to Aadi which will make for an "exciting" festive period.
She said: "We are going to see Amy and Aadi growing a bit closer so we have a really exciting Barlow's Christmas. It's very interesting, I can say that."
