The naturalist and the Olympic rower - who married in 2016 and also have 18-month-old son Logan together - have confirmed they have become parents again with two new additions to their brood.

According to Hello! magazine, Helen gave birth to a boy and a girl on Thursday (16.01.20), while the loved up couple are ready for the challenge of raising a bigger family.

In a joint statement, they said: "We are so excited to welcome the babies to our family! It is going to be a learning curve for us juggling the two of them and Logan, but we already loving the journey."

Helen, 33, also shared a photo of the twins on Instagram, writing: "We're gonna need a bigger boat! Welcome to the world little ones.

"Your big brother is already setting the pace and is so pleased to meet you. Tips for surviving 3 under 2 on a postcard please."

The pair were congratulated on the social media platform by television presenter Ore Oduba, who commented: "Oh wow!! What a team!! The biggest CONGRATULATIONS all of you, and a huge well done again Super H!!!!!! So happy for you."

Helen confirmed her pregnancy at the Animal Hero Awards in October, where she presented Barrie the dog with the award for Inspirational Animal of the Year.

She said: "I'm definitely blaming my pregnancy hormones for this, but I've been crying about this story all day."

Helen and Steve, 46, became parents to Logan in July 2018.

They had been expecting twins, but Helen tragically miscarried one of the babies.

At the time, Helen wrote on social media: "Thanks for all your lovely messages. We've had the hard news that one baby hasn't made it but we are very excited and hopeful for the remaining baby to arrive this summer."
