Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will be finding a new female villain to go up against in future episodes, as it's been revealed Italia Ricci has been cast as Silver Banshee AKA Siobhan Smythe, a new employee at Kara's workplace, CatCo.
The new report comes from ET Online, which reveals Silver Banshee is blessed with incredible strength, stamina, speed and a sonic scream powerful enough to kill an adversary.
Ricci is known for her role in Don Jon on the big screen, starring alongside Scarlett Johansson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
She's also starred in ABC Family's Chasing Life, and Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer on Supergirl has nothing but good things to say about her.
He says: "We are so excited to be working with Italia. We've been a fan of her work for years and we cannot wait to see her take on this iconic comic book role."
The character will make her first appearance in episode 14, and has appeared in over 100 issues of DC Comics, originally portrayed as a Gaelic clan leader's daughter.
Supergirl continues on CBS, Mondays at 8/7c, with episode 14 coming early next year.
