Siblings actress Charlotte Ritchie prefers to play unlikeable characters.
The 24-year-old actress was thrilled when she landed the role of "unforgiving, selfish, loud and obnoxious" Hannah in the new BBC Three sitcom because she finds it dull portraying nice characters.
Speaking to the RadioTimes.com, she said: "I know other actors who don't like playing characters people don't like, but I love it. It's boring to watch someone who is too likeable."
She added: "When I was younger I was always worried that I would only play quiet, retiring characters, but no one ever gave me a shy character. I was really happy to play someone like Hannah - it's fun to be someone like that. Like, as a joke. Not in real life...
The hilarious show follows Hannah and her brother Dan (Tom Stourton) as they attempt to navigate life in their twenties, but they mostly end up causing havoc for every one else they come into contact with.
Charlotte admits her relationship with her brother Luke, whom she writes and performs in a band with, is quite similar to Hannah and Dan's sibling bond.
She explained: "It's the same sort of rude bluntness. They have the same sense of humour, and my brother and I have exactly the same sense of humour, which makes working really fun. You can't get anything done if everything's really serious."
