Charlotte Ritchie is feeling "sad" over the last series of 'Ghosts'.
The 34-year-old actress has played the leading role of Alison Cooper on the supernatural sitcom since its inception in 2019 and thinks that fans will also be "really sad" that the BBC One show is coming to an end but assured viewers that writers have wrapped the series up in a "beautiful" way.
She told Digital Spy: "The truth is, it's sad. There's no way of getting around it…I think fans will be really sad, but I think [the writers] have done it really beautifully and very tactfully. The writers care so deeply about the show. It's not like they're just chucking it in the bin. For them, it's so emotional for it to be ending. They pulled out all the stops to make it a thoughtful and loving ending. I think it's great."
Charlotte also revealed when asked about the idea of a potential seasonal special of the show, she would be more than willing to make a comeback.
She said: "As far as I'm concerned, if they pick up the phone, I'm there…Yeah, 100 percent!"
In the meantime, the 'Fresh Meat' actress explained that after sci-fi mystery 'Repeat' she would like to make more films but is currently waiting to hear if there will be a new season of Netflix hit 'You' amid the SAG AFTRA strike.
She said: "I think so. I liked doing Repeat particularly because it felt very collaborative, and we were all working together to try and make that happen in a short period of time. I did another indie film last September that felt quite similar as it was 10 days in one room. I love that kind of thing where it feels like you have to really rely on each other, and try things out a bit, but I really don't know. I'm waiting to see what happens with the fifth series of 'You', and what happens with the strike.
But in the meantime, I'm doing little projects and little, tiny things. But it's been nice to have a bit of break and be at home, and to have kind of normal hours for a bit."
