Scott Mills turned down the chance to appear on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The 49-year-old radio host had a meeting with producers of the ITV show "many years ago" and said no after deciding he couldn't live in the Australian jungle for several days.
But since finishing in 11th place on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2014, Scott has decided he would be able to take part after all.
He said: "I actually said no to the jungle years ago. We definitely had a meeting about it and I was like, 'I couldn't do that!' But then I did 'Strictly' and I think if you can do 'Strictly', then you can do the jungle.
"If you say, let's say, for instance, can't dance and the 14 million people watching you unable to dance - that's terrifying. When you know that you actually can't dance, even though I was trying so hard I've got two left feet! I stayed until Halloween, but poor Joanne [Clifton], my dance partner, she would literally be doing this: 'Left, right' and [telling me what to do as we were doing it] and I would still get it wrong!"
This year's 'I'm A Celebrity' features Scott's fellow former Radio 1 star Chris Moyles, and viewers are awaiting the hotly-anticipated arrival of former Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
Scott claimed that he had heard a "rumour" that ITV bosses are planning to put Matt into camp on Thursday (09.11.22), to be in direct competition with the release of the fifth series of Netflix hit 'The Crown'.
Speaking on ITV's 'Lorraine', he added: "Well I think to a point, radio is a bit of an act. But actually, like many radio presenters, Chris can be quite a shy guy. When there's a camera on you 24/7, you're gonna have to have some downtime and we'll probably see that. Of course, we're awaiting Matt Hancock. Now, I've heard a rumour - I don't know whether this is true - that they're delaying his arrival to go up against 'The Crown' when that gets released tomorrow. Just a rumour I've heard."
